Week At A Glance
May 19-22, 2025
Kindergarten graduation this week! I can't believe how quickly this year has flown by. Thank you for sharing your student with me this year! This is such a great group, and I will miss them. Graduation will be the last day of school, May 22 at 9:30 in the lunchroom. Graduation is best dress for students.
Thanks to everyone who came to our dance festival. It was a little chilly, and a little windy, but so much fun!
This Wednesday we will have field day at our school. We made our goal of reading 1,500,000 minutes school-wide. What a huge victory that is for the students at our school! We will be celebrating with our field day on Friday. We will have water bounce houses, games and much more. Please send your students with their swimming suits under their clothing. We will be starting our field day at 1:00 and it will go to the end of school. We are encouraging each student to pack a towel, sunscreen and to wear easy shoes that slip on and off. Please send your students in bathing suits that cover the majority of their stomachs or a t-shirt and shorts that can get wet. It is going to be such a fun day! Half say students are welcome to stay all day that day.
Tuesday, May 20 we will be walking to the All Abilities Park. We are leaving our school at 1:00 to walk over, and will be back by 2:15. If you are interested in walking with us, we would love to have you! Just come to our classroom at 1:00.
Our class gets the chance to go see the fireflies in Spanish Fork for real! As a class we put together some kits for the library to hand out during firefly week, and in exchange for our help we get to come, with one grown up per child to see the fireflies on Saturday, June 14. This activity is out of the normal school year, and it totally optional. Check you email for more information if you didn't already see it. If you have questions, let me know!
A note will come home with their report cards on Thursday that talks about working on iready math or boost reading over the summer. This isn't required, but would help your students to keep the progress they have made this year. Information on how to log in is included on that note.
Remember to keep reading! We aren't taking reading books home from school anymore, but please keep your child reading all summer long. The Spanish Fork Library has a reading program for the summer that kids can get prizes for reading books!
If you have any questions, you can send a note in your child’s folder, or call me at school. Email is a great way to reach me too. My email address is angela.eckhardt@nebo.edu THANK YOU!
